Getting started
License activation
Activate your purchase code for automatic updates and one-click demo import.
How licensing works
EstatePoint uses soft activation. The theme and EstatePoint Core keep working on the front end whether or not a license is active — no watermark, no disabled layouts, no locked listings.
Activation unlocks two things:
| Entitlement | Without a license |
|---|---|
| Automatic theme updates | Update manually by uploading the new ZIP |
| One-click demo import | Demo import is locked; you build pages yourself |
Activate
- Copy your purchase code from your ThemeForest downloads page (Downloads → License certificate → Item Purchase Code).
- Go to EstatePoint → Theme Options → License.
- Paste the code into Purchase code and press Activate.
The tab then shows License active with your Domain, masked Purchase code, Automatic updates state, Item support until date, and Last verified time. Check again re-verifies immediately.
Moving to another domain
Each license covers one production domain at a time.
- On the old site, open Theme Options → License and press Deactivate.
- On the new site, activate with the same purchase code.
Local and staging hostnames are treated separately from your live domain, so a development copy does not normally consume your live slot. If activation is rejected with an activation-limit message, the response lists the domains currently using the license — deactivate one of those first.
Support window
Envato item support runs for a fixed period from purchase and can be extended on ThemeForest. Updates continue to be available after item support ends; the support window only affects help requests.
Troubleshooting
| Message | Cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Invalid purchase code | Code copied with whitespace, or an Envato license key pasted instead of the purchase code | Re-copy the purchase code (UUID format, e.g. 86781236-1234-5678-90ab-cdef12345678) |
| Activation limit reached | The code is active on another domain | Deactivate there, or use the domain list shown in the error |
| Nothing happens / connection error | Host blocks outbound HTTPS | Ask your host to allow outbound requests to the license endpoint |
| Demo import is locked until the license is activated | Demo import needs an entitled license | Activate, then reload Demo Import |

The License tab appears when licensing is enabled on your build. If you do not see it, your copy runs unlicensed and all front-end features are still available — update by uploading the newer ZIP.
