Getting started

After import

Regenerate Elementor CSS, set brand colors, replace demo content, and check the site before launch.

Immediately after import

  1. Elementor → Tools → Regenerate CSS & Data. Imported templates carry stale generated CSS until you do.
  2. Clear every cache — hosting cache, CDN, page-cache plugin, then a hard refresh in your browser.
  3. Settings → Reading — confirm the static front page and posts page are the imported ones.
  4. Appearance → Menus — confirm the primary and footer menus are assigned to their locations. If you switched to the child theme after import, they will be empty here.
  5. Visit the front page, /properties/, /properties/map/, a single listing, and a blog post.

Replace demo content before launch

  • Sample listings, consultants, and testimonials — either edit them into real content or remove them from Demo Import.
  • Demo photography is licensed for demonstration. Replace it with your own before going live.
  • Legal pages are placeholders. Have them reviewed.
  • Contact details appear in the footer template, contact page, and consultant profiles — update all three.

Pre-launch checks

  • Permalinks: Settings → Permalinks → Save Changes once more if any browse URL 404s.
  • Map pins: listings need latitude and longitude to appear on the map. Set them from the map picker in the listing editor.
  • Forms: submit a test inquiry and confirm the email arrives — see Inquiries.
  • Search: type into the hero search and confirm suggestions appear.
  • Mobile: check the header drawer, filter drawer, and map view on a phone.
  • Site title and tagline: Settings → General — they appear in fallback branding and email subjects.

Moving settings between sites

Theme Options → General → Settings backup exports brand colors, typography, listing UI preferences, and — optionally — slot bindings and layout manifests as a JSON file. Import it on another site with Merge (recommended) or Replace exported groups on this site.

Keep Skip template post IDs checked when moving between sites: post IDs differ per install, and importing them binds your slots to templates that do not exist.

It does not carry Elementor templates, pages, menus, or media. For a full site move use a database and uploads migration; for a fresh build use demo import.
